Daisy Shipp Little

Daisy Ship Little, 83, of 3780 Highway 78, Dorchester, N.C. formerly of Evington, died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at her residence. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Bill Little of Dorchester. Born June 14, 1924, in Brookneal, she was a daughter of the late David Lee Shipp and Beulah Mae Seamster Shipp. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons; James L. Little and his wife Rita, Mark Little both of Dorchester, NC., William L. Little and his wife Judy of Lynchburg. one daughter, Barbara Shipp Garraghty and her husband, Donald of Mt. Pleasant, SC and she was "Granny" to four grandchildren, Van Garraghty, Virginia Beach, Brent Garraghty, Summerville SC, Wanda Little and Susan Little Jenkins both of Lynchburg and nine great-grandchildren. She will always be remembered for her love of cooking and the love she gave to her family, friends and anyone else she came in contact with. A funeral service will be conducted at 12 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008 at Evington United Methodist Church, officiating Rev. John Franklin with interment to follow in the church cemetery.
