I just recently found out that Earl was gone. I didn't even know he had been sick. Whenever I would come home, I always loved seeing his smiling face, usually walking from the river where he would be doing what he loved to do, FISHING! I will miss him, he was a really nice person. His family has my sincere condolence.

I only knew Earl through personal correspondence and his postings on the Lynchburg News/Advance, but we had a very pleasant and cordial relationship through that forum. Earl will live on in the memory of those who knew him, even those of us who knew him only briefly, for his active contribution to the relationships of men.
