Evangelin "Lin" Arthur Maxwell

Evangelin "Lin" Arthur Maxwell, 78, of Appomattox, died Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Thomas G. Maxwell.

Born in Altavista, VA, on September 4, 1947, she was the daughter of the late William Barney Arthur and Eva Buford East Arthur Myers. She was employed by B & W for 40 years and was a lifelong UVA fan. Lin was very involved in her church and will be remembered for her caring service to others.

In addition to her husband Tom, she is survived by three children, Kim Maxwell-Jones and husband, Chris, Christopher Maxwell and wife, Lauren, and Whitney Maxwell; six grandchildren, Alexis Maxwell-Jones Ottey and husband, R. J., Tristan Maxwell-Jones, Sutter Maxwell, Lane Maxwell, Ellery Sullivan, and Noah Jones; a great-grandson, Abraham Ottey; and an aunt, Margaret East.

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, T. O. Myers, and her uncle, Raymond East.

Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Robinson Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Kye Moo Ryu and Rev. David Drinkard. Burial will follow in Liberty Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Robinson Funeral Home on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m.
