Henry Williams Fishkin

Henry Williams Fishkin, 84, of Lynchburg, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2009. He was the husband of Margaret Burks Fishkin.

Mr. Fishkin was born Thursday, April 9, 1925, in New York, N.Y., a son of the late Joseph Fishkin and Charlotte Schroeder Fishkin. He proudly served our country as a U.S. Navy pilot during World War II. He was retired from Ferro Corporation, where he was president of the coatings division. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, William Henry Fishkin and wife, Janet, of Lafayette, Calif., Beth Fishkin Restaino and husband, Joseph, of New Jersey, Karen Fishkin Burger and husband, Ken, of Indiana, Thomas Joseph Fishkin and wife, Michelle, of New Jersey, Joan Bachman Lollis of Lynchburg, Robert Leon Lollis and wife, Brennan, of Montana, Harriet Elizabeth Lollis of Lynchburg and Charles Edward Burks Lollis of Lynchburg; his grandchildren, Ariel and Sarah Fishkin, Nicholas Drapeau, Dylan Restaino, Joseph Restaino, Dana Cappiello, Ericka Restaino, Jacob, Luke, Jonathan, Philip and Leah Burger, Melanie and Colette Fishkin, Blair, Mary Brennan and Cody Lollis, Joseph Powell and Charlie and Dylan Lollis; and five great-grandchildren.

A committal service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 19, 2009, in Spring Hill Cemetery. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church, both with the Rev. Marion Kanour officiating.
