Judith Ann Richard Bennett

On the evening of October 13, 2025, Judith Anne Bennett, 83, passed away comfortably in her home in Gladys, surrounded by her loved ones.

Commonly known as Judy, she was born June 11, 1942, in Fitchburg, MA, a daughter of the late Emily Richard.

She was a member of Unity Church of Seven Hills, a retired employee of Food Lion.

She is survived by a brother-in-law, Ralph C. Bennett; a daughter, Lea Bennett; as well as grandchildren, William and his wife, Kellie, James and his wife, Katrina, Danni, Shelbi, Zachary and Shawna; great-grandchildren, Kyle, Lilly and Max; and special friends, Penny and Scott Appleton.

She was preceded in death by all her sons, John Bennett, George Bennett, III, and Charles Bennett; a daughter, Rosemary Balian; a grandson, Christopher Murphy; and a sister in law, Dorothy L Bennett.

In life, some of her hobbies included watching TV and taking recreational naps; she loved her cats almost a little too much, and she loved humor. She never missed a chance for a clever comeback; her humor was as quick as her heart was kind! She loved to go to church and was an avid supporter for decades. She loved her husband Bill more than anything in this world.

The family will conduct a memorial service at 12 p.m., Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Unity in the Seven Hills Church, Lynchburg.
