Katlyn Montgomery Obituary
She is survived by her daughter, Milani Rai Lyon; her mother, Crystal Jamerson Sale (Gary); her father, David R. Lyon; brothers, Jacob Lyon (Dina), Jordan Lyon (Zoe), and Grayson Lyon; her maternal grandmother, Vivian Jamerson (Papa Wayne); paternal grandmother, Carole Ferguson (Dale); paternal grandfather, George Lyon; aunts, Sherry Cox (Dave), Tina Hopkins (Kevin), and Tracy Brummette (John); an uncle, Steve Lyon; stepsister, Tiffany Parker (Jarrett); stepbrother, Chris Sale (Jordan), and many other loving family members and friends. She was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Charlie Jamerson Jr.
Katlyn passed away tragically and was the light of our life. She was a loving mother and devoted to raising her precious daughter. She loved music, festivals, and was our dancing queen. She never met a stranger and was fortunate to travel, so that she could spread the message of peace, love, and unity to all she encountered. She was our family mac-n-cheese connoisseur and rarely did you see her without an iced coffee in her hand. Our fashionista will be missed more than words can describe. We will always honor her memory and cherish every moment we got to spend with her.
In Katlyn's own words, "I AM LOVED" is how we will always remember her.
Her favorite color was purple, please show support for our family by wearing purple to the funeral service.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Heritage Funeral Service, 427 Graves Mill Road.
A funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 2022, in the chapel of Heritage Funeral Service by Pastor Sam Stump. Burial will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park. We will receive family and friends after at Aunt Sherry's house.
Any memorial contributions to the family will go towards Milani's college fund.
