Kevin Robert Jones, 59, of 140 Covington Lane, Hurt, died Monday, September 15, 2025, at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital. He was the husband of Donna Goad Jones for twenty-five years.
He was born August 6, 1966, in Jersey City, N.J., a son of the late Anthony L. Jones and Judy Chase Erker. He attended Thomas Road Baptist Church virtually and was a retired employee of Barr Laboratory/Teva Pharm.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Kelly Marie Martin and her husband, Shane of Hurt, and Jessica Dawn Goad and her special friend, Cory Coles of Lynchburg; one brother, David Jones and his wife, Melissa of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren, Jasmine Rhodes, Taylor Rhodes, Chloe Rhodes, Xavier Rhodes, Karmen Coles and Ethan Coles; two great-grandchildren, Sekani Farmer and Kingston Payne; a niece, Kaitlyn Sara Jones; and his supportive neighbor and friend, Sandy Goldsmith.
He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Zemora Rhodes; and a nephew, Ryan T. Jones.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, September 19, 2025, at Finch & Finch Chapel, Altavista by the Rev. Rick Rasberry and Rev. Latta Terry with interment to follow in Green Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m., Friday at Finch & Finch Funeral and Cremation Service, Altavista and other times at the residence.
