Kirk Tomlin Obituary
Kirk Steven Tomlin, 51, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2010.
Born March 4, 1959, in Lynchburg, he was a son of the late Richard Dale Tomlin and is survived by his mother, Lois Stern Tomlin, of Lynchburg. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Dale Tomlin.
Survivors also include two brothers, Gary Tomlin, of California, and Michael Tomlin and wife, Melissa, of Elkton; his aunt, Jean Crickenberger, and husband, Gordon, of Lynchburg; nephews, Eric, Justin and Forest Tomlin; niece, Shannon Tomlin; and other relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 20, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel. The family will receive friends after the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

I am so sorry to about Kirk's passing. He was a very good friend for many years. I've thought of him often since leaving Lynchburg. I will continue to remember him as a good and honest friend. My deepest sympathies to Mrs. Tomlin, Mike and Gary.

I am sorry to hear about Kirk's passing. We had great times together building forts when we were boys, and later fishing on the James River. He will always remain in my thoughts.
