Kit Carson

Kit Carson, 61, of Lynchburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2008. He was the loving husband of Wren Mae Carson for 37 years.

Kit was born July 18, 1947, in Pasadena, Calif., the son of the late Arthur H. Carson and Mary McClung Carson. He was a computer-assisted draftsman, and a loving and supportive dad. His children and grandchildren brought him lots of joy. In his spare time, he volunteered at Lynchburg General Hospital and was an active member of Calvary Chapel Lynchburg.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Debra Griffin and husband, Glen, of Prince George, Stephanie Rogers and husband, Sandy, of Lynchburg, Patrick L. Hubble-Carson and wife, Bridget, of Lynchburg and Darin Carson of Tampa Bay, Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Meagan Hubble-Carson, Erica Griffin, Danielle Griffin, Brooke Griffin, Amber Rogers, Amanda Rogers, Anna Rogers, Abbie Carson, Emily Carson and Madison Carson; a brother, Arthur Carson and wife, Ann, of California; a sister, Patricia "Tootsie" Pearman of California; six nieces and nephews, Jenny Pearman, Julie Pearman, David Pearman, Sandra Pearman, Jamie Pearman and Michelle Carson; and a large church family.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, in Spring Hill Cemetery.

A memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, 2008, in Calvary Chapel Lynchburg, with Pastor Troy Warner and Pastor Ken Parrish officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
