Larbie Mensah Obituary
Larbie was a student at Brookeville High School and the Central Virginia Governor's School. Larbie's close relatives are George Mensah, Emmanuel Mensah, Isaac Mensah, and Felicia Mensah. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to the Central Virginia Governor's School, 3020 Wards Ferry Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502 Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00am on Saturday April 14, 2012 at Blue Ridge Community Church, 2361 New London Road, Forest, VA. Family will receive friends at Tharp Funeral Home, 220 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA on Friday April 13, 2012 from 5pm to 8pm. To send condolences online, visit www.tharpfuneralhome.com. Isaac: I've been out of town and just heard about the passing of your son, Larbie. I never knew him, but from what I hear, he was one great kid, but most importantly, one great Christian.

Larbie Mensah... Just this name means so much. To the Mensah Family, your loved one was such a blessing to my heart! Just a smile going down the hall was just enough for me. Larbie makes me want to live an even closer life to God. I want to thank you and God for sharing him with others as well as I. Larbie will be in my heart always and your family is in my prayers. Remember, Jesus knows how much we can bare, with him there is nothing we cannot handle. Hebrews 13:5 states "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." Upon returning to town, I was profoundly saddened to hear about the death of a former student, Larbie Mensah . Larbie was my student when he was in 4th grade. He was a very happy, well-adjusted child that exuded self-confidence. He possessed excellent manners and had a wonderful sense of humor . He was every teacher's dream. Larbie was from a Christian family and he was very active in his church. His parents were so supportive as well as being actively involved in his education. They loved him dearly. He was loved by many. He once told me the he loved Science and that he'd like to one day be an astronaut. I told him that he could be anything that he wanted to be .It did not surprise me to hear that Larbie was attending the Central Virginia Governor's School in high school. He was just that determined and focused on his dreams.

So many years we have been together as friends and your pain at this time simply is in my heart also. Larbie and the whole family have made Tyler and my life better.
