Mark Nathan Francis

Mark Nathan Francis, 59, of Gladys, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, August 2, 2021. He was the husband of Leigh Ann Jones Francis for 33 years.

Mark was born in Lynchburg, on November 13, 1961, the son of R. Lewis Francis and Betty Ann Adams Francis of Gladys. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and worked for Abbott Laboratories for 40 years.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Colby Nathan Francis (Lindsey) of Concord, and Conner Jones Francis of Gladys; a sister, Kim Snyder (Chip) of Greensboro, N.C.; a nephew, Chase Snyder; two nieces, Krissy Snyder and Keely Phillips; father-in-law, Clarence H. Jones Jr.; and brother-in-law, C. H. Jones III. He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, JoAnn Jones.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, August 6, 2021, at Ebenezer Baptist Church by the Rev. Jamie Adams with interment to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the church fellowship hall following the service.
