Morgan Campbell Alkire

Morgan Campbell Alkire, 28, of Madison Heights, received her heavenly wings on Tuesday, November 10, 2020. She was the cherished wife of Corey Alkire.

Born in Lynchburg, Morgan was the beloved daughter of Tara Jennings, Madison Heights, and Doug and Latisha Campbell, New Jersey; loving and devoted mother to her pride and joy, Brooklyn Rozay Alkire, 7, and Ava Lynn Alkire, 18 months, of the home, and loving stepmother to Kierstin Alkire, 11, Appomattox. She was the adored granddaughter of Cynthia Gossom, Madison Heights, and Marjory Campbell, Forest, Connie and Wayne Gobble and Buck and Brenda Wooten, all of Appomattox, and is survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Morgan was the dear sister to Joshua (Shelby) Mann, Gavin, Blayden and Shayla Campbell, all of New Jersey.

She was predeceased by grandparents, Richard A. Jennings Sr. and Frank R. Campbell.

Morgan was a graduate of Jefferson Forest High School, and Centra Health's CNA program. However, she had decided there could be no better job than to stay at home and raise her beautiful girls. She was a fierce protector of her husband and children, and anyone else fortunate enough to be her friend.

She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Concord, where she and Corey were baptized and married.

"May the winds of heaven blow softly and whisper in your ear

How much we love and miss you and wish that you were here."

Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Calvary Baptist Church, Concord. Due to COVID restrictions, masks are required and social distancing will be enforced.

So sorry to hear about the passing of Morgan, she would sit with us at church on the back pew, right where Grandpa Rick would sit ever Sunday. We will keep the family in our prayer.

My deepest condolences to the entire family. I know the feeling of losing a loved one, but the pain of a child hits differently, and for that degree of pain, only God can heal. I will continue to lift you in prayer in your time of need-two "Beautiful" Angles watching over their loved ones.

I was very shocked and saddened to hear of the loss of Morgan. To have such a young life end so suddenly is so very sad. Tara as a mother myself, there are no words and what you are going through is horrible. Please know that your friends are here to love and support you. May God bless you and Morgan's family during this difficult time.
