So sad to hear of Stuart´s passing. He is basically responsible for getting me into playing music, in the 6th grade in Amherst Co. He convinced me to pick the trumpet versus percussion and I played it all thru high school and college and beyond. He had a positive impact on many lives, like mine. He always saw the positive in people. Play on, Mr. Moore!

To the family: We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mr. Moore was my first flute teacher at Amelon Elementary. His love of music was evident in his teaching. He really knew how to motivate us. I saw him a couple of years ago and even remembered me after all those years! May God give you peace at this time.

Thoughts and Prayers are with & for the family. Mr Moore was an Awesome influence on many of us growing up in Amherst County schools. His love of music was quite evident in his teaching of band. I started playing flute at the age of ten. Mr Moore led me through the elementary years, right into my high school years of band. Every now and then I will still pick up my flute & play music that I learned from him. God Bless You Stuart Moore!

Stuart was a blessing to me while we worked together at Sams Club, Lynchburg. I had the unique opportunity to get to know a very complex person. He shared his knowledge of life and set an example for the younger folks he worked with. Stuart left this world a better place. May he soar high.
