Theodore CRANDALL Obituary

Theodore A. Crandall

Theodore A. Crandall, 87, of Lynchburg, died Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. He was the husband of Ruth Curry Crandall for 65 years.

Mr. Crandall was born July 7, 1921, in Scio, N.Y., a son of the late Clinton E. Crandall and the late Anita Fletcher Crandall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, James Theodore Crandall of Pace, Fla.; his daughter, Barbara Ann Boothe of Lynchburg; and a brother, Howard E. Crandall of Somers, N.Y. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, at The Odd Fellows Home, Lynchburg, and from 5 to 6 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home. A funeral service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Monday, Nov. 17, 2008, in the chapel of Tharp Funeral Home, with the Rev. Dr. Gerald Kroll officiating.

Memorial contributions may be sent to Gentle Shepherd Hospice, 22712 Timberlake Road, Lynchburg, VA 24502; or Heritage Baptist Church Library Fund, 219 Breezewood Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
