Vince was born on July 17, 1926, in Plymouth, Pa., the son of the late Stella and Vincent Gryctko Sr. After graduating from Swoyersville High School in Swoyersville, Pa., during World War II and at the age of 17, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. He proudly served his country in the Pacific aboard the USS Lakewood Victory, an ammunition ship. He was awarded the Pacific Theater Medal, American Theater Medal, Philippine Liberation Medal, and Victory Medal. After his discharge, Vince attended Scranton University in Scranton, PA and graduated from Wilkes-Barre Business College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Vince was employed by Planter Nut & Chocolate offices and Craft Associates, both in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. Craft Associates was acquired by The Lane Company in Altavista, and they transferred Vince to the Lane home office where he retired as Senior Credit Manager. Vince was a parishioner of St. Victoria Catholic Church in Hurt since 1974, a lifelong member of Swoyersville American Legion Post 0644, a long lasting New York Yankee fan and enjoyed all sports on TV. Vince loved to cook, but his greatest joy was working his garden, especially growing tomatoes.

He is survived by a son, Michael V. Gryctko and his wife, Diane, of Madison Heights; a daughter, Diane Belinski of Lynch Station; four loving and beautiful granddaughters, Mary Gwendolyn Gryctko and her husband, Kyle Blythe, of Brooklyn, N.Y., Lauren Gryctko of Richmond, Danielle Belinski of Virginia Beach, and Vince's #1 buddy, Maggie Belinski of Lynch Station; and best friends, former boss at Craft Associates, Tony Drury of Delaware, Irene and Wayne Bruce of Hurt, Dennis Howard of Harrisonburg, and Randy and Carol Ruddick of Gretna.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Gryctko.

A Mass of Resurrection will be conducted at 10:30 a.m., Monday August 2, 2021, at St. Victoria Catholic Church by the Father James Gallagher.
