GRETNA, Va.

Wilford Grayson "Buddy" Huffman Jr., age 77, of Gretna, died on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at his residence.

Born on December 8, 1942, he was a son of the late Wilford Grayson Huffman Sr. and Madeline Hines Huffman. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ray Shannon.

He retired from B & W and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Buddy loved playing softball, horseshoes, bowling, playing cards with his Gretna buddies and was a big Washington Nationals fan. He had many friends who loved him, and the family would like to thank special friends, Eddie and Grayson Reynolds, Kenny Worley, Mike and Donna Robertson and the rest of the Brookneal Gang.

He is survived by one son, Tony Huffman of Forest; two daughters, Pam Huffman Lewis of Gretna, and Briana Huffman and significant other, Charles Burkett, of Savannah, Ga.; three sisters, Ramona Ferguson of Madison Heights, Nancy Shannon of Gretna, and Rhonda Milam and husband, Ryland, of Gretna; three grandchildren, Brandon Hodges, Megan Hodges and Aris Burkett; four great-grandchildren, McKayla Hodges, Grayson Hodges, Zoey Monroe and Ryan Hodges; and numerous nieces, nephew, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted 11 a.m. Saturday, November 21, 2020, at Gretna Burial Park by the Rev. Bobby Brumfield

So sorry to hear about Buddy. I worked off and on with him mostly in the Assembly area, but years ago, he was on the bowling team with me. We shared lots of fun times at Plaza Bowl, going there straight from work sometimes before time to bowl with the league, and we would eat and bowl a few games. Buddy had some good stories to share, too. Fun guy to work with, and have fun with. Also remember throwing horse shoes out back with him at lunch. He and Arthur Edmonds were both very good. My prayers are with his family.

Rhonda and the whole Huffman family,
So sorry to hear of Buddy’s passing. He will be missed by all. I was out of town last week. I always loved my time with the Huffman gang. So much laughter and good food. You were always welcomed and loved whenever you were at Mrs Huffmans. Great memories

I am so sorry for your loss bri, and rhonda...he will truly be missed. He loved playing softball, and we truly loved having him at our softball games. He was a great and wonderful person. Rhonda and family, So sorry to hear of the passing of Buddy. He was a very nice person and always friendly when ever we met. Been knowing him since I was a small kid because of my Grandfather{Jake} worked with his dad at Vadens Farm Service. I know the family will miss him greatly.
