at the age of 99 years old. Born on July 28, 1926, in Manhattan, NY. Dr. Young spent his
youth and formative years in Trinidad, WI, where he studied
Pharmacy, and later attended
St. John University in undergraduate studies and Loyola Medical School in Chicago for
his Doctorate. An accomplished, highly skilled and principled OB/GYN and Family Physician, Dr. Young served the
communities of Hempstead, Roosevelt, and Lakeview since 1961. He was the beloved husband of the late Susan Young, married for 37 years. He is one of eight children of Catherine and Thomas Young, survived by his siblings Thelma, Bertram, and Alma. He leaves behind 11 children, 30 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. A
public memorial will be held to celebrate his life and legacy
on December 6, 2025, at 11 am to 1 pm at the Roosevelt Library Community Cultural Center, 27 W. Fulton Ave., Roosevelt, NY 11575.
