Anne-Marie McCartney was born in Brooklyn New York 1947. She taught at Queen of All Saints grammar school in 1970, St. John´s University during the 1970s and later at Remsenburg grammar school where her class was awarded New State´s recognition for excellence during her tenure. She was regarded as one of the school´s outstanding educators throughout her employment. In 2014, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had to leave the school for a year´s worth of medical treatment which proved unavailing and died on March 4, 2005. She left behind her three children, Jennifer, George, Liam, her husband George, and ten grandchildren. Her loss is incalculable. She was interred in Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches a mile from her home on Belleview Avenue. Her family remains bereft at her loss and keeps her in their memory remembers her dearly.

She was an active member of the Center Moriches community, serving at the library, and the Moriches Yacht Club for the duration her residence in the village.

God's garden must be beautiful, He always takes the best.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you didn't go alone. For part of us went with you the day God called you home. Rest in Peace Anne Marie.

Our sincerest sympathies and much, much love go out to George Patrick, Jennifer, George and Liam. We have been so grateful and blessed that George Patrick and Anne-Marie fell in love and married all those years ago, making Anne-Marie a beloved member of our family, too. There are so many McCartney cousins who will miss her terribly, but our memories are of fun & laughter. Nothing will ever match Anne-Marie's kindness, her genuine, loving spirit and her beautiful and transcendental smile. We know her heart will live on & her love will continue to grow through George Patrick, their beautiful children and their adored grandchildren. We will keep them all in our thoughts & prayers.
