My condolences to Dr. Bank's family. He was a special person in my life. He delivered two of my three children. We remained in touch throughout the years, as we both had an interest in law and health care. Loved the water and sailing, we talked much about fishing. A life well-lived.

I was a patient of Dr. Bank's during my two pregnancies, 30+ years ago. When my first revealed some difficulties he advised me to switch to another hospital due to the high-risk associated with my delivery. It was a very emotional decision for me to leave a man who treated me kindly, intelligently, and compassionately, so when I told him I didn't know what to do, he replied, " if you were my daughter, it's where I'd want you to be". I went on to deliver a healthy baby boy, then returned to him for my second pregnancy (no complications) and am forever grateful to him for his care and his role in the birth of my sons. May your memories of him support you in your time of sadness.

I am his first grandchild, and I was very close with him as well as my grandmother, and I couldn´t be prouder to be related to him. He was the most intelligent and generous person I know. I'm lucky I got to meet him at all, and I'm even more lucky that he was such a big part of my entire childhood. I am devastated that I lost him, but I would take comfort in knowing that he will be remembered for his incredible achievements despite his many disabilities, and that his legacy will live on forever. For as long as I can remember, it was extremely difficult for him to walk, but he didn´t let that stop him from going back to school to become a lawyer in his 60s. He brilliantly applied his expertise in medical science to the law, and by all accounts, he was damn good at his job, both as a doctor, and as a lawyer. I want his legacy to be an inspiration to anyone who struggles in life, to persevere and take advantage of any skills, knowledge, and expertise you have. I personally aspire to carry on his legacy by persevering in my own life and do something that would make him proud. And I hope that anyone reading this, and his other grandchildren, my sister, and my cousins, will do them same.
