Brent Spears Obituary
Evamarie Ruth Schoenemann and Adrienne Elizabeth Spears, and their husbands. Proud grandfather of Olivia Grace Schoenemann. Dear son of the late Clyde Spears and Dr. Ruth Ann (Walker) Spears. Devoted brother to Drew Spears. A loving uncle and valued friend, Brent is also survived by the mother of his children, Victoria Prussen Spears. A graduate of Groton School, Harvard (BA), Thomas Jefferson University (MD), and Columbia (MPH), Brent excelled in academics and life. As a family doctor for 50 years, he cared for thousands of patients. Most recently, he served homebound elderly patients as a house call doctor in New York and Pennsylvania. He shaped public health for years as Medical Director of Vytra. Throughout his career he cared for the underserved, as well as hospice and palliative care patients during his time at Hospice Care Network. Brent's distinguished career as a physician was a source of pride, but the most important part of his life was being a devoted father to Eva and Adrienne, whom he loved dearly. Brent will be sorely missed by all those whose lives he touched and will live in our hearts forever. Reposing at O.B. Davis Funeral Homes, 1001 Route 25A, Miller Place, NY Visitation Saturday, April 15, 2-4 pm.

I just learned of Brent´s death. We were Harvard classmates and fellow bass singers in the Krokodiloes a cappella group. Our lives then diverged, but his was admirable and I know he´s missed this holiday season. Deepest condolences to all who loved and appreciated him!

May your hearts soon be filled with wonderful memories of joyful times together as you celebrate a life well lived. Dr. Spears took care of my mother for 4 years until her passing at 94 years old. March 9, 2021. In her bed, thanks to his home care. I will forever be grateful to him.

My deepest condolences for dear Dr. Spears. I had not known he passed. He took care of my mother Lorraine Ciafrei for 4 years. Up until her passing March 2021. 94 years Thank god for him. He came by during covid. His bedside manner was great. As mom was bed ridden. Hes an Angel in heaven now. I will never forget him

As a member of Long Island Community Hospital hospice, we were grateful for the assistance of Dr Spears and his team. He will be sorely missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family during this time of their loss.

Dr. Spears was a very special Dr caring about his patients and their families and all living things great and small. Always available to talk and listen. God Bless Him! He will be missed by all who knew him. Frances Coviello, 96 years old, was his patient he came to our house for 6 years.
