Constance Schwartz Obituary

Schwartz - Constance

(Connie), loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, artist, museum director, and art historian, passed away on April 25, 2025, in Valley Stream, NY. Born in Brooklyn, NY, on January 17, 1929, Connie has been a prominent figure in the art world for more than 25 years. As Director and Chief Curator of the Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor for 24 years, she was involved in all phases of museum activity: administration, curating more than 75 exhibitions, fund raising, museum child, and adult education and community development. Connie is survived by her children, Ira and Janine of Bethesda, Esther of NYC, and Barry and Maureen of Valley Stream; grandchildren, Alexander

and Marie of Bethesda, Jason

and Monica of Melrose,

Alison and Steven of Tuscaloosa; and great-grandchildren, Isabel and Scott of Melrose.

Her Funeral was held on May 1, 2025, at Beth Moses Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Society.
