OBITUARY 661,,,ear 46,0, BeHAArvGet SEPTEMBER 8,1987 - JANUARY 30, 2022 Cape Coral, Florida - Corey Bourgard was a loving father and son. He passed away suddenly and tragically at the age of 34. Corey was born in Southampton, New York on September 8, 1987, to Todd Bourgard and Geraldine Leland. As a young boy, he was well-known in the Hampton Bays, NY community where he grew up enjoying football, snapper fishing at the Shinnecock Canal, skate parks, nearby beaches and his many friends and neighbors. Raised solely by Todd, he and Corey were inseparable during his youth and shared endless memories during those precious yews. Corey chose Delhi College to further his education after graduating Hampton Bays High School. Corey loved the sunshine and warmth of the west coast of Florida. After several visits, he decided to make it his permanent residence. There he became the founder and owner of Simply Buff; an automobile, motorcycle and boat simonizing and detail service company. His talent and attention to detail were keys to his flourishing business and he garnered an outstanding reputation as "one of the best in the business". On November 17, 2018, Corey welcomed his daughter Kali Jayne Bourgard into the world. Kali was blessed with an adoring father, a loving and amazing mother, Barbara Ann Forbes, and an older half-sister, Kloee Grace. Kali stole Corey's heart and was his every thought. She is his legacy, and she will always have him as her guardian angel right by her side. Through the tremendous outpouring of love from friends, relatives, business associates, and his customers, it is abundantly dear that Corey left a lasting impression on all who knew him. So many have said, "He was always there for me," emphasizing his gentle nature and commitment to helping others. Corey is survived by his father Todd Bourgard; mother Geraldine Leland; stepmother Barbara Leogrande and his stepbrothers and half sisters. The family will hold a private ceremony in Corey's honor. 117057010
