You showed me Jesus, Dan. I'll never forget the care you had for my soul and how much you taught me How to love God. And I will never forget how faithfully you suffered. I pray the Church can open your cause for canonization as a saint one day. May you rest in peace, Dan.

On behalf of our whole family, we want to express our deepest and most sincere condolences. Our hearts are grieving, yet they are also filled with gratitude as we remember the life of a truly remarkable man, our dearest friend Dan. We are keeping Lisa and the entire family in our prayers and surrounding all of you with our love and support during this heartbreaking time.
Dan, your soul touched so many people, including me and my family. You lived your faith with a quiet strength and humility that made a lasting impression on every heart you encountered. You surrendered everything to God - your joys, your suffering, your music - and you showed us what it means to carry the cross with Christ in silence, in love, and with complete trust.
You were more than a friend. You were a mentor, a guide, and a beautiful example of genuine Catholic faith. Your music, especially when you played the sax, carried something deeply spiritual. It brought healing, comfort, and inspiration. Anyone who heard you knew they were listening to a gift from God. Our son Michael learned so much from you, not only about music but also about humility, discipline, and honoring God in everything he does. We will always be grateful for the influence you had on him.
You truly were a legend, not because you sought recognition, but because of the depth of your love and the way you lived your life. Even while suffering, you continued to care for others. You offered everything quietly, with dignity, and with faith. That kind of strength is a rare form of heroism, and it showed the holiness that lived within you.
I also want to honor Lisa, because her love and devotion were extraordinary.
Lisa, you are one of the most inspiring and loving wives I have ever known. You cared for Dan around the clock with so much tenderness and strength. You poured your whole heart into making sure he was comforted, supported, and never alone. Your love helped him keep fighting, and it allowed him to live every moment God gave him with peace and grace.
Your loyalty, courage, and kindness taught me so much. Watching the way you loved Dan brought me hope and strength especially in moments of suffering. You showed me what it means to stay strong even when life feels overwhelming. I will always remember the example you lived.
You and Dan showed all of us what a Christ-centered marriage really is. You lived with unity, faith, and a deep love that carried you through every challenge. You walked through everything together with perseverance and complete trust in God.
Dan, thank you for your smile, your music, and your humble and faithful heart.
Lisa, thank you for your courage, your devotion, and your powerful example of love.
And to Dan´s entire family, please know that we extend our deepest condolences, our heartfelt prayers, and all our love. We are holding each of you close in our hearts. May God comfort you, strengthen you, and surround you with His peace during this difficult time.
We pray with confidence that Dan is now resting in the loving arms of Our Lord, healed, whole, and embraced by eternal light.
Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.
May he rest in peace. Amen.
Dan, we love you.
Lisa, we love you.
And to the whole family, we love you and are praying for all of you.
With heartfelt love, prayers, and sympathy,
Maya and the Gilbert Family

Dear Lisa, I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband Dan. You are such a beautiful couple. Dan is making beautiful music in the heavens above and our Lord is very happy to have with Him. Dan will always be with you, as our Lord has always been with both of you. God bless you both always.
