I just had a dream about Dr. Spielsinger; I grew up 2 block away on Ketchum Ave and he was my doctor for my life till I turned 19! He was a very caring and compassionate man. He was never "off duty" and a great asset to Patchogue. My prayers are with the family.

Dr. Spielsinger and Roz were like grandparents to my children. I adored them and so did my children. I wish I had the chance to say good bye to them and thank you. They will forever be a huge part of my life. There was nobody like them. God Bless<3

Our sincere condolences. We came to know Dr. & Mrs. Spielsinger when we first moved out here in 1978 through Temple Beth El of Patchogue. They were always so gracious. They took care of both of our kids, and I always enjoyed looking out at the pond out back while we were in the office. They helped so many people. We used to bump into them at Tofu. We'll miss them.

My deepest sympathy to his entire family. Dr. & Mrs. Spielsinger were amazing human beings. They spent their entire lives taking care of others. I was one of his first patients in Patchogue along with my siblings. Years later he took care of my four children and eventually my first grandchild. I felt truly blessed to have known both of these people. They will be forever remembered as the very best life has to offer.

I can't say enough about Dr. and Mrs. Spielsinger. He took care of my children and grandchildren. They were very dedicated to all those who needed care. If there was an emergency, you could call the office at any time, day or night, and Mrs. Spielsinger would answer. Too bad they didn't have much time to enjoy retirement together.

I trusted the care of my son and daughter to Dr. Spielsinger and never regretted it. He saved my son's life when he was only a month old. He was a great doctor.

My condolences on your loss. Dr. Spielsinger saved my life when I was 10 and had spinal meningitis. Even though he called me Effie and Jennifer and who knows what else, it was obvious he and Mrs. S and the nurses really cared. He was a great doctor, and it was a sad day when he retired. Every time I go past the office, I thank God for Dr. S.

If it wasn't for Doctor David I would be walking with a limp and never would have become an athelte. He did what should have been a routine check for all new babies but is not and found my hips to not be inline. He gave me a better life.

Dr. Spielsinger was my childhood Dr.and continued to take care of me until I left for college. He made house calls a few times when I couldn't get to him. When I was 10 and no one was able to figure out what was wrong with me, he and Raz would continue to check on me throughout the night. He,was a true doctor . He will be missed.

I never had Dr. Speilsinger as my pediatrician, however,his daughter Lisa, aka Spock, is someone who I graduated high school with and I have very fond memories of her. I met her dad once at their house and he was very sweet. My prayers for everyone who lost the love of another Patchogue Oldie but Goodie!

Dr.Spielsinger was my doctor and also to both of my boys. We were like family. Anytime of the day or night if one of my boys were sick they would open the doors. Dr. Spielsinger saved my son Alex's life when he was 11 months old who took me in when another doctor told me he just had a virus. He knew something didn't sound right,saw Alex right away,his little heart was beating 300 beats per min when he sent me to the hospital where he was diogonised with wolf Parkinson white syndrome. He saved my babies life and I will be forever grateful to him and his wife. May you rest in peace Doc and I know you are in a happy place with your lovely wife by your side once again?

Dr. Spielsinger was my doctor until I was 20 years old due simply to the fact I knew I wouldn't be able to find a better physician than he. Truly a great loss. May he rest easy.

Dr Speilsinger truly was a good doctor and a good man , I cut his lawn for so many years back when I was with TallTree Landscaping. He always could make you laugh, one day in July I was trimming his bushes on the left side of his house where his bedroom window was and he asked when I was going to be finished because that's where it all happens.

Dr. Spielsinger took care of me since I was a baby. He also took care of my first son. Him and his family were our family. You will be greatly missed dr. Spielsinger. There's no other DR. Like you. Thank you and may you rest in GOD's arms.

Dr. Spielsinger was my doctor my entire childhood, and even though I was definitely a little frightened of him then, I'd give anything to have him back as my daughter's doctor now. They just don't come like him anymore. Truly a great loss, rest in peace.

Dr Spielsinger was a great dr...I went to him when I was a child and brought all 3 of my children to him until he retired....My daughter was the last patient seen by him and she still has the sticker on her wall that say immunized :)...My children still laugh about his jokes like How do you fix a broken pizza?.....with tomatoe paste :). Or what did The waves say to the shore?....nothing they just waved. Or how good looking your child is....they must look like their dad lol. He will be greatly missed!!

Our sincere condolences to the family. I have many fond memories of Dr. Spielsinger. His right on target medical diagnosis for our son, recommending other leading doctors, when needed. His great sense of humor and his easy way with children. Mrs. Spielsinger was awesome,too. They both had great advice for me, when I called on the phone in a panic. Her death was a shock, when it happened. They both were missed here in the neighborhood and will be in our hearts forever. Peace and comfort to all of you.

They don't make Dr.'s like him anymore. He and Ros dedicated their lives to their families and the families of the community. He took care of my four siblings and I, and all of our children, and more than half the children in Patchogue. He made house calls, even to take care of our mother! They answered the phone calls of frantic parents on Sunday nites, and gave 110%! I will never forget how much he did for my family, or the scent of his cologne. He was truly one of a kind! My condolences to the family.

I remember many things about Dr. Spielsinger, but I do remember the time he came to my parents home when my mom and I had chicken pox. That was when real doctors made house calls. I can't say enough about the entire Spielsinger Family and how sorry we all are about the loss of their dad, grandfather, great grandfather and mentor.

Thank you for always taking care of our entire family... All 6 of us, it wasn't always easy for our mother, Helen Cessman, to get us there, and she would worry about cost... You and your wife always said to bring those beautiful children right down... She never forgot that.
She spoke of you even as we were all grown up and retold all the stories to her grandchildren. Dr. Speilsinger, you were not just a doctor, but a neighbor to all of Patchogue. Prayers go out to all the family from Greg Cessman and family.

What a special man he was. He and Roz took care of my children and their children for many years. I remember him meeting me in his office at 3 in the morning in his pj's and robe to see my little girl. What person would do that today?

Rest in peace Dr. Spielsinger, I can still picture sitting in his waiting room on the wooden chairs and playing and coloring. My brothers and I went to him as our family doctor till we were all older. He was a great doctor and will surely be missed. A true loss to Patchogue! So sorry for your loss.

He was the best! He was so caring with my children, morning, noon, night, weekends, holidays, his vacation, it never mattered, he was always there for my daughters! My heartfelt thoughts and prayers to all.I took my first born Jessica to him.The first office visit we had "he asked me how I was doing? I told him fine and tired. As he is checking my daughter he is talking to me and asking questions..He says so what are you doing for her...I remember looking at him and not really sure what he wanted ,I said loving her. He smiled and said that is the best answer I've heard all day.. and he hugged me and said mom you and baby her going to do fine:)He was the best:)

My parents trusted Dr. Spielsinger with their 4 children. Being one of his patients as a child I looked for the same qualities in my own children's doctor. I'd like thank Dr. Spielsinger for all of his services he has done for our family.

Dr. Spielsinger was my doctor for MANY years. He helped my mom out in hard times in caring for us 3 kids, giving us medicines and visits and little or no cost knowing the situation. His family is my family's thoughts and prayers. What an amazing man.

He taught me how to be a good mother, he was always there when you needed him, we had many talks and laughter through the years. I will never forget either Mrs Spielsinger nor Doctor Spielsinger. They were my "other parents" for sure, and I loved them.

Dr. Spielsinger was our family doctor growing up in the early seventies. When I had children in 1999 and 2004 he was the one I immediately went to. He was without words the best physician. He was rare and far few like him. The children were blessed to have him look after him.

RIP from The Armstrong family of Patchogue. Thank you for caring for our family in the 70s and 80s when we were children and getting gum out of my brothers nose when he shoved it up so far that it got stuck. :)

Dr. Spielsinger was a wonderful, caring doctor. He was our children's doctor back to 1970. Our children are grown with families of their own. Our daughter took her little ones to Dr. Spielsinger up until he stopped working. He was a fantastic person with a great personality and will be really missed. My he rest in peace with Roz.
