Debbie Henesy Obituary
Leventhal), a longtime resident of Milton (Pensacola), FL, and former Long Island and Rochester, NY resident, died in Milton, at age 90. Beloved mother of James Jr.,
Matthew (Michelle), and
Susan (Michael) Henesy, and William Lossef (Debbie). Grandmother of Bevin, Connor and Sean; and great-grandmother of Audrianna. She joins her late husband, James Sr.; baby daughter, Jeanine; parents, Morris and Lillian Leventhal; brother, Bernard; and many in-laws. Debbie was a lifelong waitress at restaurants on Long Island including Jahn of Rockville Center (where she met her husband James Sr.), The Dugout in Amityville, SeaCrest in Massapequa, Lincoln Inn in RVC, and Mickey Alans in Rockaway, and at NAS Pensacola Officers Club, Barnhill's Buffet, and Granny Cantrell's in Pensacola. In her later years, she enjoyed keeping her home and yard tidy, fostering pets, and caring for her cats, Mia, Boots, and George. Debbie would probably ask that you make a donation to your local animal shelter. A viewing will be held at Powell Funeral Home, 67 Broadway (Rt. 110), Amityville, NY, on Friday, September 27, 2-4:30 and 7-9:30 pm. Funeral Mass in St. Martin of Tours R.C. Church, Amityville, on Saturday, September 28, 9:30am. Interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Farmindale.
