STEWART - Donald R., on April 5, 2021 at age 72. Beloved husband to Virginia "Cooks". Loving father of Christine (Rolando) Berdion, Don Jr.(Kerry), Debbie (Patrick) Conroy, Proud Popi to Eric (Vanessa), Corinne (Sam), Matthew, Caitlin, Shannon, and Patrick Jr. Devoted great-grandfather to Bradley and Carter. Dear brother of Linda Taft and Gail (Bill) Novotny. Fond uncle to many nieces, nephews, extended family, and a dear friend to all who knew him. Don was a well-respected attorney who was a pioneer in his field. His dedication to his craft was only outweighed by his love for his family! Visitation will be Thursday 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm at Donza Funeral Home 333 Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway, L.I. In lieu of flowers, his family requests donations in his memory to Alzheimer's Association. A private cremation will be held.

Cookie and family my thoughts and condolences are with you during this sad time. Don was a great man and a great friend. I will always remember how nice and caring he was. He was so proud of his family and their accomplishments. I am sure he is dancing with the angels. Thank you Don for being my friend you always kept it interesting!!
