Elizabeth Rubenstein Obituary
(Deborah). Cherished grandmother of Marit Erne, Nicole Suter, and Jamie Rubenstein;
and great-grandmother of Heidi
and Lillien. Raised in Islip by former vaudevillians Chester
and Gertrude Nelson, Elizabeth
attended the American Academy of Dramatic Arts before settling in Bay Shore. She performed for years in the Islip Lions Club Variety Shows and in various productions at the Jewish Centre of Bay Shore. She was also an active member of the St. Patrick's R.C. Church Choir for more than three decades. Visiting will be Saturday, morning November 15, 2025 from 9-10am at the Overton Funeral Home Inc, 172 Main Street in Islip. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the wake at 10:15am at St. Patrick's R.C. Church in Bay Shore. Interment to follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Long Island Alzheimer's Association would be appreciated. (www.alz.org) www.overtonfuneralhome.com
