Frank Conforti Obituary

CONFORTI-Frank, in his 80th year, on January 26, 2006. Beloved husband of Pauline. Dearly loved father of Susan (John) Ade, Cristine Conforti, James (Donna), Douglas (Anne), and Frank (Jennifer). Loving grandfather of 11 and great-grandfather of 4. Loving brother of Samuel and Charles (Janet). Adored Uncle of many nieces and nephews. He was born and lived in Huntington Station where he owned Frankie's Italian Restaurant and Pizzeria for 32 years. He and his wife later retired to Deltona, Florida. He was a decorated World War II Veteran who earned the Bronze Star Medal, European African Middle Eastern Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and World War II Victory Medal. He was part of the U.S. Army Hells on Wheels 2nd Armored Army Division, honorably discharged from Company C as Sergeant. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his whole world and they loved him dearly. A small private service will be held in Florida, with a memorial service in New York to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the National Alliance for Autism Research, 99 Wall St., Research Park, Princeton, N.J. 08540, 888-777-NAAR.

I have such fond memories of being in Uncle Frankie's restaurant as a kid. It was something my sisters and I always looked forward to.
