Frank Charles Nachtrab Sr.

NACHTRAB - Frank Charles Sr., 91, of Raleigh, formerly of Ridgewood, NY, died Monday, August 10, 2009, at his home in Raleigh. Frank was born March 31, 1918 in Queens, NY, to George and Rose Haneman Nachtrab. Frank was a WWII Veteran of the US Army. He was owner and operator of Nachtrab's Quality Meats in Ridgewood, NY, from 1946-1983. Frank was preceded in death by his brother George F. Nachtrab; and sister, Violet Nachtrab. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Ruth Meyer Nachtrab; daughter, Ruth Parker of Raleigh; sons, Frank Charles Nachtrab, Jr. and his wife, Susan of Selden, NY; and John Nachtrab of Columbus, OH; 16 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends Saturday August 15, and Sunday August 16, from 2-5 and 7-9pm at the George Werst Funeral Home, 71-41 Cooper Avenue, Glendale, NY. Mass of Christian Burial Monday 9:30am at St. Brigid's R. C. Church. Interment to follow at St.ohn's Cemetery, Middle Village, NY.
