WORTHLEY-Helen Coughlan, of Glen Cove, NY, on the morning of March 5, 2004, one month short of her 93rd birthday. Matriarch, inspiring teacher and faith-filled Catholic. Reposing at McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, 220 Glen St., Glen Cove, NY on March 18th, 2-4PM during which the Rosary that she prayed daily will be led by her daughter-in-law Lillian; and 7-9PM with vigil prayers and hymns at 8PM. The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated in her honor on March 19th, the feast of St. Joseph at 11AM in St. Patrick's, Glen Cove, the church in which she married John Abbott Worthley IV who preceded her to God in 1958. Her son, Fr. John Abbott VI will preside with daughters Elin Mrozek of LaCrescenta, CA and Jeredith Stifter of London, England ministering together with son Donald Smith of New Canaan, CT. Her 8 grandchildren, 3 children-in-law (Frank, James and Lillian) and nephews Joseph Dioguardi and Patrick Wright of Bayville, NY, will escort her body. Burial will be in the Worthley Family plot in Holy Cross Cemetery in Brooklyn.
