J. Tilda OSOJNAK

OSOJNAK J. Tilda, 90, of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2013 at Juniper Village at Lebanon. She was the wife of the late Harry Osojnak. Born in Corona, NY on November 10, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Cecilia (Pelersi) Tassi. Tilda married her next door childhood neighbor, Harry Osojnak, in 1949. She earned her Bachelor's Degree from Hunter College of CCNY and Master's Degree from Columbia University and taught foreign languages in the NYC school system and Syosset High School for more than 30 years. She is remembered for her dedication to her students, serving as department chairperson at Syosset High School. Tilda was also a dedicated member of the Mercy League, a Catholic service organization. She spent her final year in Juniper Village in Lebanon. She will be missed. She is survived by a sister Mary Collelouri, three nieces - Marcia Ostfeld Shivoder, Martha H. Rossi and Donna Panzerino; a nephew Mark Colelouri; four grand nephews, Kurt Ostfeld, Thomas Collelouri, and Luke and John Rossi; seven grand nieces, Dana Ostfeld, Jennifer Collelouri, Kathleen Collelouri, Margaret and Katherine Panzerino, andJillian Rossi. She was predeceased by a sister, Helen J. Furlani. Funeral services are pending. Thompson Funeral Home, Inc. is entrusted with the arrangements.
