James B. Nordhausen

Nordhausen - James B., 90, of Bay Shore, passed away on Sunday, September 18th. Born on February 29, 1932, in Long Beach, California. He was the son of the late Edmond and Ruth Nordhausen. He was the brother to the late Douglas, Buddy, and Katherine Ferrall. Predeceased by his wife,

Marianne Lynch Nordhausen of 47 years. Jim was a Satellite Communications Technician and retired from Eaton AIL. He traveled to many countries with his family while his father served as LT CMDR in the US Navy. He loved to travel and did so throughout his life. He was a member of the Oceanside Fire Department and later an Ex-Captain and proud member of the Brentwood Fire Department for 59 years. A special thanks to all the members who supported Jim and his family. He is survived by his five children, Capt. William (Amy, Major US Army, RET) of Bradenton FL, Carol Perrin (Steve) of Niskayuna NY, Jet (Kathy), of Columbia, MD,

Patty of Manhattan NY, and Barbara Badaracca (Bill) of Audubon, NJ; by his grandchildren, Mark, Julia,

Caroline, Brittany, Michael, Sydney (Tommy), Jake, Nick, Ava, and Emma; and also by his great-granddaughter, Charlotte. Loving companion to Priscila Marquez. He is also survived by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Special thanks to nephew, Chris Lynch for his extraordinary compassion and care and the staff at the rehabilatation center. Reposing at the Michael J. Grant Funeral Homes Inc., 571 Suffolk Avenue, Brentwood, NY, on Thursday, September 22nd, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Brentwood Fire Department service will be held at 7:30 pm. Cremation Private.
