I just learned of his passing today when I called to schedule an appt with him. I first met him in 2011 and he surgically removed a kidney stone - he had a beyond amazing bedside manner - I felt nervous about the whole procedure and he changed that by taking his time with me to explain everything and answer all my questions. An amazing Dr and an amazing human being. Still in shock. RIP DR J WEISS

Anyone that met Jeff was blessed! Dr. Weiss was a brilliant urologist, but moreover, he was a caring person, with a rare sense of humor and a perennial smile.

Jeff visited me at home while I was recovering as a new patient - in an age when doc home visits ceased decades ago! I will never forget that.
He had a way to make you feel special, especially during one on one office were never rushed.

Jeff always went out of his way for me and he was beloved by all! I know he is smiling now and forever, knowing how he's helped and touched so many lives.

My prayers go out to the Weiss family.

I will miss you Jeff! RT King

Under what circumstance other than having Dr. Weiss as your doctor, would one look forward to a urology visit?
The most enjoyable vasectomy one could imagine. Painless TURP. His calling me to insist on a biopsy ("Why are you dodging me," he asked as dinner waited). Yep, he was right. Prostate cancer but his early diagnosis is giving me so many options.
And now, we will move forward without him.
We just don't know how.
Each visit was a review of lines from Young Frankenstein and the economy. Family talk. I waited while you did it, you waited while I did it.
Each patient was the only patient. Each person was the only person. They don't make doctors like that anymore. They don't make people like our friend Dr. Weiss.
Respect, thanks, and love to family and friends.

October 31, 2014
I was cannot put into words how upset I was to receive the letter informing me of the passing of Dr. Weiss. He told me I was one of his first patients when he first became a Urologist which has to be at least 20 years ago. I never went to another urologist and my husband joined me when he needed one.
My last vist was October 13 and I am so happy I was able to be there and chat with him one last time. When I was leaving I did something I never have done before. I told the doctor he looked tired and gave him a hug and told him to get some rest. I am not a hugger and can not explain what posessed me to do that, but now I am glad to have that memory because Dr Weiss was very special to me.

He will be missed and I offer his family and staff my condolences. God bless them all in this very difficult time.

What can I say here that hasn't already been said? I feel the same way as everyone else, plus more. I hope his family is seeing all of this, and saving it. My family and I would have liked to come to his memorial service, but sadly, we didn't find out until afterwards. Urology is so personal, so invasive, so embarrassing, and painful at times. Dr. Weiss was so understanding of that, and tried to ease it all in his unique way. He made you feel like he was going through it with you. I am so sad that I will never again feel his hand patting my back, telling me everything will be fine. Don't worry. I had a lot to worry about. But he fixed it all. I knew him about 18 years. My dad had bladder cancer, and Dr Weiss removed it and made him a new bladder out of his intestine. No other doctor knew anything like that! My mom had a bad kidney infection and was septic and almost died, and he brought her back to us. He sat by her bedside with me. My husband has kidney issues, and he saved him from losing it. He was like family to us. Each visit, mom would bring a candy for him. He gobbled it up, and mom was so pleased. The news of his passing is life changing for us. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to his family. We pray that Dr Weiss and his family feel God's light, His love and His protection. Amen.

We were extremely shocked and saddened to hear of Dr. Weiss untimely passing. He removed bladder stones from my husband and had the best bedside manner. So friendly, loved to joke around. When my husband was in recovery, Dr. Weiss came to talk to me and joked that he was going to be late for tennis cause my husband had so many bladder stones. ; ) Always reassuring my husband everything would be fine. My husband just saw him 2 months ago and Dr. Weiss kidded him about his hair saying he's looking old. ; ) Our deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Heaven has gained a truly kind and caring angel. God bless.

Dr Weiss was a great Dr and man.... Shocking.... Condolences to his family...
October 27, 2014
I have never been more saddened to hear of the passing of a non family member than I was today. Dr Weiss has been my doctor since 2002 when I had my first kidney stone attack. He was one heck of a doctor, did numerous procedures on me and always gave me the reassurance that everything was going to be ok. He had a wonderful personality that made him feel like family. I just saw him in July for my annual sonogram and checkup. He always asked how I was and what was going on and as I was telling him about my life and the insanity of having 4 year old twins, he chimed in and starting telling me about his twins. He walked me out and with a pat on the back said "Everything looks good. I'll see you in a year". I can honestly say that I have never cried over the death of a doctor before. He will be sorely missed by this patient. My most heartfelt condolences to his wife, children and family. Rest in peace doc. No one will be able to replace you.

I first met Dr. Weiss when I started bringing my Mom for check ups. He was so passionate and understanding. She actually enjoyed going for her visits as Dr. Weiss made her feel very comfortable. Then years later, my husband had a prostrate problem and I immediately knew what Urologist he should see. He operated on my husband five years ago and every year when he goes for his annual check up, Dr. Weiss greeted him with a smile and after his check up would always say "you're doing great - see you next year". My husband is so sad to think that he will not be seeing him next year!!!! Dr. Weiss is so personable that one year we met him and his family at Woodloch Pines where they were celebrating their daughter's 16th Birthday with her girlfriends. He immediately introduced us to his wife and daughter. Our deepest condolences to his family. He certainly was a very wonderful man - always smiling and laughing!!!! He will be missed!!!!
