John BOBKA Obituary

BOBKA - John, 85, of Middletown, beloved husband of Georgia Rose Gike, died peacefully on June 25th. He was born in New York City on July 14, 1927, the son of the late John Bobka and Catherine (Kornak) Bobka. John leaves behind four children: Vivian Bobka , Captain Christian Bobka , Ellen Bobka, and Susan McNamara, M.D. and her husband, Glenn and four grandchildren, Troy E. McNamara, Britt A. McNamara, Erich Bobka, and Adam Bobka. John also leaves behind his two brothers, Walter Bobka and George Bobka. Calling hours will be at Doolittle Funeral Home, 14 Old Church Street, Middletown, CT, this evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 29th at 10:00am at Saint Mary of Czestochowa Church, 79 South Main Street, Middletown, CT. Burial will be held on Monday, July 1st at 10:00am in the State of Connecticut Veterans' Cemetery.
