I was blessed to have John in my life as a close personal friend - knew originally thru my brother James when they were both in young Republicans in Garden City 1972.
John knew my grandparents, parents, and my sister Suzanne, husbands and all my cats! Not to mention the HOA.
I am crushed not being able to say goodbye. We were both born 1949. John was one of the best people I have ever known, a true Christian who quietly practiced his faith in Christ.
He did everything for others and nothing for himself. He constantly gave to charities volunteering his time, collecting and playing Santa for children. A loyal Republican and Patriotic American who so loved this country. Many knew John -he helped us all. I admired him dearly as a friend, confidant and lover of all things WWII. Civil War snd favorite President Eisenhower! John was known as "the Encyclopedia" in school being so incredibly smart. He should have lived with us longer but is free now from the physical conditions he suffered from over the years. I will always remember fondly his use of puns and closing with "ALOHA". So I will say to you John Aloha and thank you for sharing some of your bright life with me.
John assuredly is with God in a better place. We who mourn him must remember we are only a vapor and this Earth is not our forever home. Amen.
