I just today, 7/4/09, learned of Mr. McCarrick's death. I felt sorrow in learning about Annie. Having moved away after graduation, 1976, I never knew that happened. It saddens me to think the family, who brought such life to Bayport, had to suffer in that way. I pray you take comfort in knowing Annie and her Dad are truly at peace with Our Lord. Although we'd all much rather them be here with us today, their memories live on. My children know Mr. McCarrick through my memories of him. Yes, I too am the best driver here in Charlotte, thanks to Mr. McCarrick, God Rest His Soul. Love and Peace, Janet Green Peeples

I am so sorry for your loss. I went to elementary school with Annie and my siblings had Mr. McCarrick as their teacher. He is now at rest with his beloved Annie. She was always so stunning. It feels like yesterday we were all young kids just growing up together at Academy Street School. Rest in Peace.

I haven't seen Mr. McCarrick since high school (1984 graduate), but I think of him often, especially when I taught my son to drive. Using Mr. McCarrick's tricks, he's got parallel parking down perfectly. He was well respected and will be missed. My sincerest sympathy and hopes that you are with Annie.

You have touched the lives of many, and your dedication to Annie a true testament to love. As another guest mentioned, I refer to you often when teaching my own children to drive. Peace be with you, kind sir.

My deepest sympathy goes out to Mr. McCarrick's family. I will always remember how calm he was while teaching me how to drive (class of 1972) and I know that it couldn't have been easy! I thought of him every time I taught one of my own children how to drive. May your happy memories of him comfort you in the days ahead.

What a truly wonderful human being he was. I remember drivers ed (Class of 1973) and how well he taught me how to parallel park the Olds Vista Cruiser 9-seater station wagon I had then. At last he will be with his beloved daughter. God bless his family

Too too young. He was a true role model to me. He taught me and guided me in business, and would always show up at any place I had. His strenghth as a man spoke for itself. Pat and I are deeply saddend.
