Joseph Edward Lovelock, Jr.
was born in Queens, NY to
Joseph Edward Lovelock
and Dorothy Rose Miller Lovelock on October 18, 1939. He went to high school at Brooklyn Tech and earned his Bachelor of Science from City College of New York. He went on to earn a Masters of Criminal Justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. He served as a SP4 in the Army, 2nd Armored Cavalry for two years at Fort Dix and Fort Bragg. He also served in the 68th Armored Battalion at Fort Bragg. He worked as a police officer in the NYPD for 35 years serving as the 76th precinct commanding officer in Brooklyn and Deputy Inspector at the office of management analysis. He served his community as well as achieved 4th degree at Knights of Columbus in Oceanside and Island Park, NY. Joseph Edward Lovelock, Jr. is survived by his three
children, Carolyn (Patrick)
McGarry, Joe W. (Henrietta),
and Charles. He is also survived by his six grandchildren,
Bridget, Peyton, Morgan,
William, Katie and Amanda
who brought great joy to his life. He is predeceased by his wife, Carol Lovelock. Joseph was a wise, easy going, family man and will be greatly missed by all.

I am the cousin of Joseph. We saw each other quite often as children while growing up. I kept in touch with Joe and Carol through the years but we didn't meet again in person until the funeral of my husband Daniel Kasten. Please accept my most sincere condolences to all. Patricia Culllen Kasten.
