Judith K. Curtin

Curtin - Judith K., sfcc, of Center Moriches, died peacefully on August 21, 2024, surrounded by family, friends, and the caring nurses and doctors who will miss her for her quick wit and contagious laugh. She was 86. As a teacher and administrator for 48 years, Judy dedicated her life to the children of the Brooklyn and Rockville Centre Dioceses. She spent the greater part of her profession in Sag Harbor's St. Andrew/Stella Maris Catholic school, later as Principal. Judy retired as Assistant Principal in 2006 from Holy Angels School in Patchogue. Judy had previously taught at St. Patrick's in Bay Shore, St. Mary's in Roslyn, St. Gerard's in Hollis, as well as St. Jerome's in Brooklyn. She was beloved as a master English teacher, and known for her love of children. "Kids are People Too!" was her mantra. She will be especially remembered for her kindness, her counsel, her laughter, and overall love of all living things. As the eldest of five, Judy was predeceased by her brothers, Robert of California, the late Gilbert (Karen) Curtin of East Moriches. She is survived and beloved by her sisters,

Christine Muscarello (the late John) of Hampton Bays and Kathleen (the late Mike) Boyd of Manorville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
