Julian "Jude". In lieu of flowers, Kathleen's family suggests donations may be made in her loving memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or Autism Speaks, P.O. Box 37148, Boone, IA 50037. Arrangements entrusted to the Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons East Islip Funeral Home. A cremation was held privately. A Celebration of Life will be held by the family at a later date. www.chapeyfamily.com

Kathy was a dear friend from the time we met at a Captree School PTA meeting when our younger sons were 4yrs old. Our heartfelt condolences to you Alan and all your family. Even though we moved from LI when our son was 13, we kept in contact over the years, Kathy will be dearly missed. Sincerely, Nancy Broadwell

Kathy & I met in Brownies, we were friends in high school, roommates in Arizona , travel buddies and maids- of- honor for each other. We were always able to solve the family and world problems, over a glass (or 2) of Pinot Grigio on the deck at Fire Island. Until we meet again, and continue where we left off, I´ll love you forever. R.I.P. my friend!
