Dearest Fr. Ken...and cousin
I never got to meet you. You knew me through my mother (your first cousin, Barbara) We just found out today that you passed away. Moma tried to call you today and your number was disconnected. In searching for a current listing, I found a memorial tribute to you on a young ladys website (Cathy). After finding this wonderful young ladies tribute to you, we discovered you had passed. Moma and Aunt Anne has worried for some time now that you were ill and did not tell them, knowing they would fuss over you. My mother has told me stories of when ya'll were kids, how they pestered you and what a wonderful sense of humor you had. I know from all the stories I've heard from Grandma and Moma that Aunt Kitty was so proud of her son, the Priest! Moma and Aunt Anne (better known as The Twins) will miss you, and even though I never had the pleasure of getting to meet you, I would have liked that, but Oklahoma is a long way from NY!
Anne and Barbara would also like to take the time to thank the other families who have signed this guestbook on behalf of the family. As you know, Fr Kennys mother died many years ago. Her sister, Jean, was Anne and Barbara's mother. Thank you for your very kind words, even though I never got to meet Fr. Kenny, your words said what a kind person he was.

Here is a poem I wrote in the memory of you, Father Ken.
“For the loving memory of Father Ken Nee”
My angel died; I am feeling pain
He was my gliding light, and my one saint.
The cancer spread from his lungs to his brain.
When I found out I wanted to faint.
I loved him like my very own grandfather.
He was my priest and my greatest friend.
What will I do without you, Grandfather?
How can I live now that your life ended?
I wanted you to live a lot longer.
I was not ready to loose you to God.
Your voice is telling me I’m stronger.
I can still remember your famous nod.
I feel like I lost you in a heist,
But I know you were called to Christ.
I love you Father Ken

May you rest in peace dear friend

Father Ken was a true Priest and a true example of Christ. My family loved him. He saw our children go from diapers to young adults. He was always there for us, in the good times & especially in the bad. He never thought about himself, for he always asked about "you & your problems.” He had a special bond with our daughter the most. He let her be the first altergirl at OLF a few weeks before it was officially allowed. Catherine was student secretary & later a cook for the rectory. OLF was home to our family and Father Ken was our beloved pastor.
Father Nee, now you can share that cup of tea with Jesus & your Mother!

Fr. Ken,
You are always in my heart. You were the angel that helped me though my mothers cancer. You were there cheering me on when I got the scholarships. You were my rock keeping to the ground. You helped me strengthened my faith when I felt it slip away. I know you are happy now in heaven. I miss you so much.
Love you always.
