Lillian Nix

Nix - Lillian A (Slezak) age 88, of Deer Park, NY, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on February 26, 1937, in New York City, Lillian dedicated her life to her family and community. She worked for many years as a school bus driver with the North Babylon School District, where she was known for her kindness, reliability, and devotion to the children she transported. After retirement, she relocated to Arizona before eventually returning to Deer Park. Lillian was predeceased by her beloved husband, Joseph Nix. She is survived by her

children: Joseph (Joanne),

Michael, Christopher, and Susan. Her sister Cornelia

(Slezak) Wissman. Her grandchildren: Olivia, Tyler, Harrison, and Preston (and their mother, Janet), as well as Brandon and Brianna; and two cherished great-grandchildren Cameron and Nicole.

Family and friends are invited to attend visitation on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM

at Boyd Funeral Home, 1785 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 5, 2025, at 10:15 AM at St. Cyril's Roman Catholic Church, 1750 Deer Park Avenue, Deer Park, NY.

Interment will follow at Calverton National Cemetery. Lillian will be remembered for her strength, warmth, and unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
