Mary B. Inglima

1924 - 2022

Inglima - Mary B., of Melville, NY passed on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at her home. She was 98. She is survived by her son Kenneth, and her two Sisters, Teresa and Rita. She was a dedicated and loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and aunt. She was married to Peter Inglima for 72 years and they were together for 78 years. Now they are together in Eternity. President

Franklin D. Roosevelt had encouraged all able-bodied American women to help the war effort, so she worked at the Brooklyn Navy Yard during WWII. She worked many positions in banking, safety equipment manufacture, and Huntington Town Hall. Her interests were competitive ballroom dancing, sewing, bowling, and of course cooking, where she truly shined. Our family and friends would gather for her wonderful Christmas meals. She also made beautiful ceramic creations which I will cherish. She was active in St. Elizabeth's Church outreach and community service. Everyone who knew her benefitted from her kind and giving nature. She will be honored with a Mass at St. Charles Cemetery Chapel, Wellwood Avenue, Farmingdale, NY, at 12:00 PM, on November 22, 2022, with interment to follow.
