Romano. Loving mother of Nina Romano. Fond mother-in-law to Steven Belkin. Dear sister of Michael Tocci and the late Martin Tocci. Cherished aunt of Danny, Lindsay, Katie, Wendy, and Tara. Treasured cousin to many. Mary Ellen dedicated her life to helping others, serving as a mental health professional and college professor. Through her work, she touched countless lives with her wisdom, patience, and genuine care for each person who crossed her path. Visiting hours will be held at Robertaccio Funeral Home in Patchogue on Wednesday, Dec. 10, 7-9pm and Thursday, Dec. 11, 2-4 and 7-9pm. Closing prayers Friday, 10am at the funeral home. Interment Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Center Moriches.
