Moses Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR-Moses, loved and revered Bishop and founder of the Long Island City Gospel Tabernacle, Astoria Outreach Ministries and Center of Hope International (COHI), early Friday, October 1st. He was 80. In 1961 Bishop Taylor started his ministry with a dozen faithful members in a little house on 12th Street in Long Island City. The Congregation quickly grew to over 500 congregants and continues to be the fastest-growing church in Long Island City. Moses Taylor was consecrated to the office of Bishop in October 1993. He is survived by his wife, Beatrice Taylor, his two children; Reverend Mitchell G. Taylor, and Rochelle Annette Taylor, six brothers and sisters, his church family and a host of other relatives and friends. Laying in State: Center of Hope International, 12-11 40th Ave., Long Island City, NY, today Wednesday 1PM-9PM; Evangel Church, 39-20 27th St., Long Island City, NY, Thursday 1PM-6PM. Funeral Services, Evangel Church, Thursday 7:30PM.
