I had the pleasure of meeting Peter on a precious few occasions. He welcomed me like a brother. In recounting his memories of his 35 missions flying in the Eighth Air Force, he broke down briefly expressing sympathy for those currently serving overseas. A man who personally understood the realities of war. He leaves behind a wonderful wife, and a great deal of lovely descendants, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A real war hero.

Today 10/19/2014 I just watched the greatest video ever of Peter A. Perniciaro taking a flight in a B-17 out of Republic Airport. The smile on that man's face brought a tear to my eye It moved me so much that I posted the video on my Facebook page.. It was while I was trying to find a photo of him in The 94th Bomber group that I read of his passing. My sincere condolences to his entire family. I never knew Peter but I owe him big time for his service to our great country. God Bless. John Ost- Astoria NY

Lucy and family: Bob and I wish to convey our deepest sympathy in the loss of your loved one. We are glad we had the chance to meet Peter and we will always remember how happy he was dancing at Liz and Brian's wedding. We know that although he will be gone from your sight he will always live in your memories and your hearts.
