Notice that part in Peter's obituary where it mentions being an avid tennis player? One of Peter's most endearing qualities was that, whenever we watched a match on television (& epsecially during a Gram Slam tournament), he would often jerk his leg or twist his foot involuntarily during a really tight rally - you know, to offer the competitors a little empathetic help. I think he was living through those athletes at the time, rather than just casually watching them. Thought this was worth sharing, if anyone is still reading here.

Dearest friend - five years now. And finally the portion of your ashes I guarded so carefully have been set free in the Pacific Ocean at Fidalgo Bay in Washington, near Bellingham! It was a great experience for those of us who watched your release & I hope you enjoyed the freedom of flying off into the wonderful breeze & waves of the ocean. Makes me smile.

Péter. Csaknem ötven évi barátság után
mentél át egy másik dimenzióba. Várat-lanúl és túl korán. Fiatal korunktól mos-
tanáig mindig megosztottuk örömünket és bánatunkat. Amig csak élek, hiányozni
fogsz. Most szüleiddel vagy, látsz min-
ket és most is törodsz velünk,akik sze-
rettek és törodtek Veled.
Egy nap majd én is csatlakozom Hozzá-
tok és újra találkozhatunk.
A viszontlátásig....Bea

Péter, az egyik legkedvesebb, legrégibb barátom voltál és maradsz, mindig vártuk az estéket, amelyeket együtt tölthetünk Budapesten vagy NYC-ben - nagyon fáj, hogy többé hiába várjuk....

My dear Peter, I am deeply touched of your sudden passing away. I really appreciated to know you the last couple of years, having lent your Budapest flat a couple of times and being with Irene, Peiling and Stass in Alta skiing last year. We will play piano and sing together somehow beyond the corner. RIP

RIP Peter!
I am deeply sad to received the news and cannot believe that you left us so soon. It was last year, we made this great international skiers trip to Alta. I was hoping to see your pro skiing down hills again; you surely looked great in your ski gears!
I just came back from Spain, where Irene and Peter had sent you a postcard, signed by three of us. I was about to phone you to report my March ski trip to Squaw Valley and thank you for your recommendation of this place.
I will always remember your gentle and caring as well as your professional standards you discussed with me!
