Rowena Elaine Whitehouse Follett

FOLLETT - Rowena Elaine Whitehouse, 77, entered into eternal life on September 26, 2010.Mrs. Follett, formerly of Holtsville, lived in Gloucester, VA for the past eleven years. She taught High School English for thirty-six years for Sayville Public Schools and later worked for the IRS in Holtsville. She was a gentle, quiet font of wisdom, a loving and giving presence, and a lifelong advocate for qualityAcademic and Arts Education. She was preceded in death by her son Stephen and is survived by her husband of fifty-four years Calvin Lee Follett, daughter and son-in-law Sally Ann DiSpirito and David DiSpirito, son and daughter-in-law Richard Follett and Mary Ruth Alred Follett, sister Thelma Riley and three grandchildren. At her request, there was a private service for immediate family.
