My deepest condolences for the family, It may be a bit late, but I've just come across this while researching my Family tree. It would appear that we are related (how close, I'm not sure) and just being able to share the last name of this great man I see as an honour! I'd love to be able to get in contact with his family in order to possibly flesh out the family tree, and to ensure that he has the best (accurate) record possible in the tree.

Dr. McGaley (he insisted that I call him Sean) and Peggy were best friends with our parents, Tina and Henry Royster during their time in Cherry Point, North Carolina. Through the years they kept in close touch, visiting back and forth between Richmond, VA and Long Island.
After Peggy and Henry passed away, Tina and Sean kept in touch at Christmas. To our mom, Sean was such a connection to our dad. When Tina's grandson, Cap, married a Long Island gal, we were able to visit with Sean in Long Island during the planning process and he actually came to the rehearsal dinner and met our entire family. What a delight to be with Sean! He had such an inquisitive mind and an amazing memory, much like our mother He brought a book for her to read and they had a book club by phone!
This past January Tina tried to call Sean and found that his number was not in working order. She never conquered the internet and I just found his obituary on line. We are all so sad to learn of his passing. What an amazing person!
So on behalf of the entire Royster family, please accept our condolences. We would love to send a sympathy card and Tina has two letters that he wrote in her possession if the family would like them.

I am so sorry for the loss of this amazing man. I have known Dr. McGaleysince1968 when he was my doctor. A more caring , kind and compassionate man who was always there for his patients. Recently I saw him at the 5pm saturday mass and said a prayer for him each time I saw him. He is with God looking down on everyone and protecting everyone. God bless you all
