I knew Tom back in the 80s when I managed the UFT Queens office whereTom worked after he finished his day teaching. I went on to work on Wall Street and occasionally saw Tom at a few union functions I remember his wonderful dry sense of humor, how he spoke lovingly of his family and how even though it was out of his way he would give me a lift home after work. Tom and I spent quite a few afternoon coffee breaks eating the best strudel that he would buy at Andres Hungarian Bakery (even though he said his strudel was better). I knew him a lifetime ago but I never forgot his humor and kindness. I pray he rests in eternal peace. His memory will always be a blessing
