Thomas Gianni Obituary


GIANNI - Thomas R., 48, of Wading River N.Y. originally from Middletown CT passed away unexpectedly Sunday February 22, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Karen and devoted father of his children Kristin and Zachary age nine. He is survived by his parents Vincent and Sebastiana Gianni of Middletown; two brothers Vincent Gianni Jr, of New Britain and David Gianni and his wife Lisa and their children Nicholas and Michael of Cromwell; also three nephews and two nieces. He also leaves behind a large family including many aunts uncles and cousins. Thomas was a graduate of UCONN School of Engineering and earned his Masters Degree at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He was an accomplished Electrical Engineer, employed by Rockwell Automation in Long Island N.Y., who was well respected in both professional and personal life. He will always be remembered for his easy going manner and fun loving way he had with his extended family and friends. He will especially be remembered by his children, nieces and nephews who loved playing with their "Uncle Tommy". In lieu of flowers contributions in Thomas's name may be made to either HHT Foundation International Inc. P.O. Box 329 Monkton MD 2111. www.hht.org. or the Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Foundation 411 Longbeach Parkway, Bay Village Ohio, 44140, www.tttsfoundation.org. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday morning at 10am at St. Sebastian Church 155 Washington St, Middletown. Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate his life on Friday from 4-7pm at the D'Angelo Funeral Home, 22 South Main St, Middletown, CT. A Memorial Mass will be held in Long Island at the convenience of the family.

There are no words that can truly describe the deep sadness I feel for your loss. Tommy will be sorely missed. I will always admire his professional and personal accomplishments in life. He was a wonderful role model, someone I looked up to. This is why his passing in so hard to accept and it reminds us how unfair life can be.
